What kinda foodie would I be if I didn’t try the Popeyes Spicy Chicken Sandwich?! 🌶🍗

Here’s the deal. It’s good! It’s not sell your kidney, stab a grandma, wreck your car kinda good…but it’s good! Mine wasn’t super fresh. They had a lot of them already made sitting under the warmer so my expectations were low. I really only went for the sweet tea anyways because Popeye’s hands down has the best restaurant sweet tea, so seeing the sandwich available was just a bonus. It could have used more sauce, but I think it had already just soaked into the buns from sitting under the warmer a while. Next time (yes I said next time because I’ll eat it again) I’ll definitely opt for extra sauce. I hate pickles on sandwiches so I ate it off first. Alone, that pickle was fire. I want a whole jar of pickles that taste like that. The chicken was kinda tough and like all Popeye’s chicken…the grease flavor was in full force. But that’s Popeyes! It’s not meant to be healthy, it’s meant to satisfy that southern style chicken, fast food, elevated cholesterol, higher your risk at heart disease, craving. The buns though…the best! 🤤 I refuse to compare sandwiches but this one would win for me, just for the buns. They’re southern style dinner rolls turn buns. If I were Superman and I had a kryptonite…it would be dinner rolls, or in this case…these buns! 🔥

Also on the topic of comparisons. Can we p l e a s e stop comparing Popeyes and Chick-Fil-A?! I hate that comparison as much as I hate the Whataburger and In-n-Out comparison. They’re all different, and I for one have room in my heart and most importantly my stomach, for all of them! 😋
